Vikki Howells, the Assembly Member for Cynon Valley, will be attending Rhondda Cynon Taff’s event in Aberdare Park on Saturday, to support Armed Forces Day. She will be showing gratitude to the women and men who serve and have served in the Armed Forces.
Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the Services community, from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
Vikki will be joining people the length and breadth of the country who want to salute our forces personnel. The organisers of this year’s event are asking people to show their support by giving a salute.
Vikki Howells said:
“I, like many, look forward to Armed Forces Day and the opportunity to pay tribute to those who serve and have served in our armed forces.”
“I will be joining residents to show my support at the event in Aberdare Park. I know there are many service women and men, past and present, living in the Cynon Valley and also families who have lost loved ones in the service of their country, and it is important that they know how much we appreciate what they do and have done.”
“Once again I would like to congratulate the organisers of events taking place across Wales and the UK for giving us a chance to celebrate our fantastic armed forces personnel.”
