Weekly Round Up – 11th March

CONSTITUENCY

  1. Chaired a public meeting in Cwmbach.
  2. Visit to Penderyn Pantry.
  3. Tour of the renovation works at Mountain Ash Town Hall.
  4. Called into Abercynon-based Serenity Support Services to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

SENEDD

  1. Took part in discussion of International Women’s Day.
  2. Questioned First Minister on how we can empower communities to take charge of local assets.
  3. Chaired a meeting of the Cross-Party Group on Industrial Communities which discussed skills and the net zero agenda (pictured).
  4. Tabled a question on how Welsh Government is making sure animal health and welfare standards are being upheld.

WELSH GOVERNMENT

  1. First Minister urges people to have their say on the UK-wide COVID-19 Inquiry.
  2. New approach to helping the clinically vulnerable protect themselves from Coronavirus published.
  3. Minister for Economy unveils new plan to get more people in Wales into work.
  4. Over £7m in funding to extend online mental health service has been announced.
