Weekly Round Up – 17th June

Constituency

  1. Cut the ribbon at official launch of Cwm-Unity Big Bocs Bwyd at Cwmaman Primary School.
  2. Met with the Headteacher at Pontypridd High School.
  3. Regular catch up with Transport for Wales bosses.
  4. Attended GCSE art exhibition in the Maesgwyn Special School base in the former Aberdare railway station building (pictured with Corey Hooker).

Senedd

  1. Hosted Senedd event for the League Against Cruel Sports.
  2. Attended technical briefing on the Welsh Government’s Coal Tips White Paper.
  3. Scrutinised Welsh Government Ministers for Economy and Rural Affairs in the Senedd’s ETRA Committee.
  4. Meeting to discuss support for people with diabetes in care homes.

Welsh Government

  1. An ambitious plan setting out 26 actions to eliminate new HIV infections, improve quality of life and end stigma by 2030 has been published by the Welsh Government.
  2. The Education Minister provided an important update on the roll out of the new curriculum in secondary schools in Wales.
  3. More support will be available for the Welsh film industry thanks to a new and simplified Welsh Government funding package which will help create quality jobs in the sector and generate at least £12 million for the Welsh economy over the next two years.
  4. The Welsh Government has launched a new vision to secure a bright future for Wales’ retail sector.
