The Senedd will go into recess next week so my next round up will be published on Friday 4 March. In the meantime, please find below some of my highlights from the past seven days.
Constituency
- Met with Cynon Taf Community Housing Group to discuss their Potential Project.
- Changes to the PDG Access Grant mean children in all school years from Reception to Year 11 may now be eligible for support with the cost of school uniforms.
Senedd
- Questioned the First Minister on the roll out of new school curriculum.
- Asked about supporting business start ups in Cynon Valley.
- Raised access to specialist medical care in the community.
- Attended meeting of the Chairs’ Forum which discussed various matters including the working of Senedd committees.
Welsh Government
- COVID Passes are no longer required for indoor or outdoor events.
- New eye care facilities have been announced which will help cut waiting times.
- The short-listed nominees for the St David Awards have been revealed.
- A basic income pilot for care leavers in Wales has been announced.
